Start with the use.
Picture the table, chairs or garden you want. Check the usable depth, door swing and circulation around furniture. A long, narrow balcony and a terrace with room for a dining table can offer very different experiences.
Walk the connection.
How do you reach it? Consider carrying dinner outside, opening the door while someone is working, and moving between the kitchen, living room and terrace. Notice light, wind, noise and privacy during your visit.
Confirm what comes with it.
Have the applicable condominium documents reviewed for the right to use the space, maintenance responsibilities and restrictions. Ask about furniture, planting, grilling, alterations and access for building work. A photograph cannot settle those questions.
Compare the complete home.
We weigh the outdoor space alongside the interior layout, exposure, condition and monthly costs. A meaningful comparison starts with homes a buyer would seriously consider as alternatives; there is no single terrace premium that fits every residence.
